It is with the utmost sadness that we say our goodbyes to our beloved Lanafuiana Peni-Paris Siulua Jr. Paris was a devoted father who strived to be the best role model and provider he could be for his two sons he left behind: Jude, 14, and Dylan, 6. He was also the only son to his mother, Yolanda Silas, and brother to two lovely sisters, Iyanla and DeAndra.
Paris was a passionate man. He strived to do his best in every capacity with anything he pursued. He was an amazing chef who played an incredible role in the establishment and sustainability of Thai Taste. He was a caring friend and brother willing to do whatever he was able to help those in need. Not once did he hesitate to lend a listening ear or words of wisdom. He had an incredible love for music which highly influenced the Carbondale community. Paris was a selfless man always making sure everyone else was taken care of before he tended to his own needs. He was also our protector although, deep down, he was a soft, kind individual.
Paris impacted our lives in a way that will never be forgotten. His kindness and compassion is one that is unprecedented. We can only strive to be as amazing as the one and only P-Degree-Paris-Peter once was.
His family, our Thai Taste family, the Carbondale community, and anyone who has ever met Paris will never forget his influence on all of our lives. He was truly one of the great ones.
As this tragedy was unexpected and sudden, his family is not fully prepared to take on the costs of funeral arrangements and services. We are asking for assistance with the costs for a small celebration of life ceremony for his friends and family here, with the full funeral service back in San Antonio, Texas per his mother's wishes. Any donations received which exceed actual funeral costs will be given directly to Paris' two sons.
Any amount you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated. We understand not everyone is able to contribute. If not, we would kindly ask you to share this post with your friends in the event that even one of them can.
We sincerely appreciate your help, and thank you for taking the time to read this.
Flap on, Paris, flap on.
