Lance Moraniec Medical Care

I’m Donna Shay a friend of Lance’s mom Laura Moraniec who I have known most of her life. Laura is a wonderful mom to Lance and his younger sister Laci

Although they moved to the Eastern Shore a couple years ago, Lance still has strong ties to Baltimore. On Monday evening, January 23, Lance was in his former neighborhood, on his way to visit a friend who had just become a dad. As he was driving on Eastern Avenue there was a head on collision between his Chrysler and a dump truck. Lance’s car was pushed 300 feet, where it caught fire. He suffered cardiac arrest, a broken jaw, 2 broken legs requiring rods and a severe hand laceration. We are thankful for the those that put out the fire and administered CPR to Lance until paramedics arrived. He was taken to Shock Trauma and he was in surgery all day Tuesday where the amazing doctors and nurses put him back together ❤️

Once released from the hospital, Lance will require a minimum of 3 weeks of acute occupational and physical therapy. Medical bills will be astronomical and I’m hoping this will ease some of the out of pocket financial burden. All monies will go directly to his mom Laura to put toward Lance’s medical expenses.
