Our dear friend, Lance Roussarie, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Few details are available today but we can tell you this- Lance is a fighter!
Lance was admitted to the hospital in San Antonio just before the 4th of July where he was officially diagnosed with a brain tumor. At that time, very little was known about the tumor itself but it was determined that follow-up would be needed after the holiday.
The following week, Lance was re-admitted to the hospital where he underwent a series of tests, brain mapping, biopsy and ultimately surgery to remove what they could of the large brain tumor. He remained in the hospital until last Thursday, July 19th, and he was released to return home to recover from the surgery. He has follow-up visits this week and next in which he hopes to have a clear diagnosis and treatment plan going forward. Lance has been advised that radiation is required but further treatment has yet to be prescribed.
While the treatment plan is still unclear today, we know that Lance has a long road to recovery. During this recovery period, Lance will unlikely be able to work. Lance has too much pride to ask for help therefore we are doing it for him. Over the next few months, Lance will have medical needs, prescriptions and general costs associated with living and Lance needs to focus on his recovery and not worry about expenses.
Lance can use any support you can offer. We’re asking for monetary support, prayers and well-wishes. Please know that Lance feels somewhat overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and is still coping with his new reality so be understanding if you don’t get an immediate response from Lance but know that he is very appreciative for any and all support.
Thanks for thinking of Lance.
