Hi, this fundraiser is for Lancelot Peebles

To bring him home from Kalamazoo, where they did the autopsy, and for his funeral/ memorial.

It is clear that Lance was a person who was dedicated to bettering himself and creating positive change in his life despite his heart condition and his past struggles. Unfortunately 2 days ago he passed away while shoveling sidewalks at Longfellow Towers, he was only 30 years old, but his spirit and kindness live on in the memories of those who knew him.

It is also important to note that Lance's passing highlights the challenges faced by the homeless community, particularly during winter months. It is a reminder to us all that there are people in our communities who are struggling and may need our help. Lance was expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Brianna Contreras

Last month his siblings lost their dad . A week later they lost their biological father. Now they are having to worry about how they will be paying for the cost of their baby brother’s funeral and cremation expenses. The multiple losses this family has experienced in such a short period of time, along with the health challenges that other members of this family are facing, is indeed a difficult and overwhelming situation. I believe as a community we can come together to support this family

I’m asking for the community’s help with resources to fund the expenses of these unforeseen hardships.

In remembering Lance, it is his tremendous kindness that stood out to those who knew him. He was a friend who always listened and was fiercely inquisitive, striving to learn more about the world around him. His energy was unstoppable and his spirit burned bright, leaving a lasting impact on those who were lucky enough to cross paths with him
