Lander High Plains athletes go to Lake Placid!

Six skiers from Lander Valley High School have qualified for the US Ski and Snowboard Junior National Championships to be held in Lake Placid, NY in March!
Congratulations to Emily Anderson, Twyla Beason, Ameya Eddy, Owen Firth, Bennett Hutchison, and Diego Lobatos. These Lander skiers will join other athletes from Wyoming and Montana to make up the High Plains Nordic Team.
Qualifying for Junior Nationals is a huge honor that takes years of practice, commitment, and training. The event draws the best skiers age 14 to 19 in the US and that includes our elite group of Lander skiers.
The cost of attending the week-long national championship is $3400 per skier for transportation, lodging, race fees, coaching, and equipment. It's a lot, and on short notice but with your help, we can keep their dream of attending Junior Nationals in reach.
Gifts to this fundraiser support all of our Lander skiers, so please contribute. Your support will not only send our team, but it will also help inspire our up-and-coming skiers—and it will continue to build on our great nordic skiing tradition in Lander.
Thank you for being a part of the Lander Nordic Community and for supporting our young athletes!
