Landlord Harassment Eviction Lawyer fees

Hey friends,

As most of you know, I've been dealing with landlord harassment for quite a few years. Many things in my apt have needed repairs over the years and my landlord has denied me any repairs and my apt is not in line with living codes.

I've experienced unannounced visits from the landlord where he let himself into my apt asking me about the costs of my furniture and belongings and commenting on the fact that my nails are painted and I wear makeup; strangers who work for the landlord have let themselves into my apt "to inspect" something etc yet fix nothing and I've also been experiencing banging on my windows during quiet hours. I've called the police and 311 but nothing has worked to put an end to this.

My landlord is taking ME to court to get me to leave the apt saying my lease is up but

I have lived here for 13 plus years and have not had a lease for most of my time here since my apt/room is an extension of my neighbor's apt (my neighbors are family friends). Throughout all of this, I've come to realize my apt is very likely illegal and has been the entire time.

I need to hire an architect to come in and write a report stating all of the above so I can argue this and have a defense in court. Arguing this would grant me the right to stay in my home and force the landlord to bring the apt up to living codes.

I've been talking to very many pro bono lawyers as well as legal aid over the months leading up to this but they are understaffed and backed up and time is running out and I need to hire a lawyer.

The court date is Aug 8th and all of this would need to be ready to go by then, worse case scenario, I would also need to be ready to move if that's the case.

While all this is happening, I have a family emergency overseas and need to go take care of my family asap.

Doing something like this is very hard for me so know that I have exhausted all my options and need your help asap.
