Landon our Little Ninja Warrior.
Landon Michael Perdue, a energetic 4 year old that absolutely loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is fighting for his life. On April 22nd of this year, Landon was rushed to Arnold Palmers Children Hospital in Orlando, FL. He was diganosed with a very large and aggressive ependymoma brain tumor. Less than 48 hrs later he underwent a 7 hr surgery to remove the invasive tumor. With the brillant hands of Dr. Gegg he was able to remove the entire tumor. Although we were so happy to hear the tumor was removed we were once again hit with the news that it is Stage 3 Cancer.
Landon today is awake. As of right now he does not have movement on his right side, he is not talking and with time he must gain and learn basic skills. We hope over the next couple of weeks the brain will start healing itself and he will gain back even the simplest of things, a smile.
Landon will now have to undergo Radiation and Chemotherapy in about 4 to 5 weeks. He may have to be transferred to Jacksonville, Fl for the radiation treatment. The radiation treatment is very vital to fight the cancer but it can be harmful to children that are of a younger age. This will just be his first insight to a long road ahead. His mother, Jessica, and Father, Michael, will be by his side each and every day until Landon is free from Cancer. Landon's older sister, Leah (5) hopes she will have her brother home soon to play and laugh as he once did.
We are asking for any donations that the family can use for Landon's medical surgeries, medical needs, traveling expenses, and loss of wages. If you cannot donate we understand but ask that you please send a prayer for him to have a safe and full recovery.
