Landon’s DCI Dreams: Professional Drum Corps 2022

Hi everyone! My name is Landon Niles and I am 17 years old. I am a junior at New Palestine Highschool and a member of the NPHS marching band, jazz band, concert band and show choir band.  I have marched for 3 years and have played in band for 6 years. Marching band has changed my life and I can confidently say that I would not be here without it. I am so proud to announce that I have accepted a contract to perform and compete with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps this summer. 

DCI (Drum Corps International) is marching music's major league. This is a professional league with some of the most elite and exclusive marching musicians and performers. 




In June, I will proudly begin my training and rehearsal alongside 164 of the best musicians in the nation. We will train every single day for a month in Wyoming and then begin competing/ touring across the country. While on tour I will get to compete in states I have never been to. Some of the competition opportunities that I have is:

- Wyoming
- Washington
- Idaho
- Utah
- Colorado
- Texas
- Arkansas
- Alabama
- North Carolina
- Maryland
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- Ohio
- At the very end of the tour I will have DCI World Championships in Indianapolis Indiana

In order to participate this summer, I will have the following costs:
- Trooper's member tuition - $4,900
- Flights - $1,000

I am asking kindly for donations to make my dream come true. Again, I would not be here if it was not for music in my life. By donating you are helping me achieve something I have always wanted to do since I could remember. By being able to perform and compete with the Troopers I will be able to make connections that will follow me for a lifetime.
