Landons out of country treatment

Hello we are Landons parents Scott and Gladys. Landon is second youngest of 6 children. March 12 2023 we took Landon to sick kids emergency. After repeated visits to many hospitals where we were told landon had a digestive problems since he was always getting sick which had started in June of 2022. At sick kids we got the horrific news that he had a very large brain tumor growing on his brain stem. He got rushed into an emergency MRI to see the extent of the tumor. The MRI showed it was much larger then he had expected, and would need emergency surgery to remove it right away. The surgeon was able to remove 98% of it but couldn't get the part growing off his brainstem as its could damage function to crutial parts of his face as well as breathing, swallowing and couching. During surgery he sent a piece of the tumor off to be tested to see what kinda tumor it was and if it was cancerous. After 5 days in the PICU fighting to recover and dealing with breathing issues and a possible lung infection, he informed us that it was an aggresive cancer called Ependymoma. With this form of cancer we need to act fast before the tumor starts growing again. Unfortunately the treatment best for Landon is not available in Canada. We will have to travel to Florida for IMPT proton radiation. We are hoping and praying that we are able to come up with the funds to travel and pay for Landons much needed treatment.
