Lane Skinner Medical Fund

Lane Skinner, the three-year-old son of Ben and Amy Skinner from Auburn, Wyoming, was recently diagnosed with b cell acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Since the beginning of December Lane has undergone multiple treatments, including bone marrow draws and chemotherapy at Primary Children's Hospital. The Skinner's have many family and friends, along with non-profit support organizations, who are assisting them with their immediate daily and current needs. However, anyone who would like to help this great family with medical bills and the additional expenses that come with them (travel, lodging, food) is encouraged to donate.

Doctors say the long-term outlook for Lane is positive. However, he and his family have a challenging road ahead in the coming weeks and months.

The Skinner family said " As a family we have already been so well blessed and supported through our current trial. Even and especially through this hard time we have seen so much good in the world, so much generosity that we do not want to discount or diminish all that has and is being done for us. For this reason we have up till this point resisted efforts to do a fundraiser for us, but we feel that we cannot continue to hold back the flood of support that still wants to come our way. With this in mind we want to make clear that we feel optimistic about our financial situation and we are motivated to pay back and pay forward from the lessons we have already learned through this experience. If this all turns out as well as we hope in two-and-a-half years we intend to turn extra money over to Jason’s Friends Foundation at www.jasonsfriends.org.
