Lanesplitter Staff Covid Crisis Tip Jar

Dear Lovers of Lanesplitter Pizza,

Do you love Lanesplitter Pizza, it’s staff, and it’s neighborhood vibe like I do?  Birthday parties? Team Happy Hours? Staff Parties? First Dates? Late night solo slice and beer just when you need it?

I know that times are tough and uncertain for everyone right now and everyone is adjusting to the new normal.  Some of the people taking a big economic hit right now are the staffs of our neighborhood restaurants - even though some of them are still helping keep us fed and risking exposure.  I know that Lanesplitter Pizza’s owners are doing everything they can to keep serving take out and delivery and keep as many of their employees as they can on the payroll, but hours have had to be reduced and there are far less tips.

This goal of this fundraiser is to create a fund which can be distributed to Lanesplitter’s staff to help them survive this difficult time. So when this all over, they can back to where we love them – working the oven, filling our glasses, and serving up that unbeatable Lanesplitter pizza.

For over 20 years, they’ve been there for us, let’s be there for them now.  If there is any upside to this crisis it may be an opportunity to appreciate what we really value in our communities and the chance to pull together to help each other out however we can. So if you can, dig deep and throw some cash in the jar.

Here's how this  works:
90% of the fund will go into the "tip jar" which will be distributed to Lanesplitter staff.  If you donate more than $50,  you'll get 10% back as a gift certificate.  So for example, contribute $100 and you get a $10 gift certificate to be used as soon as Lanesplitter reopens.  If you're not local, you can gift it to someone else or email me a note that you just want it all to go in the "tip jar".

Facts: I’ve been a customer of Lanesplitter for 20 years. I'm not an employee of Lanesplitter and have no personal relationships with anyone at Lanesplitter other than friendships.  Alice, Vic, and Daniel know where and how to contact me.   I live in Berkeley.  Lanesplitter Ownership is not involved in this campaign. Go Fund Me takes about 3%, that’s just the way it is.

Thank you for anything you can throw in the jar, even the smallest tips add up! $10,000 is an ambitious goal, but it will be divided among many people.
