Laney's Breast reduction.

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Laney.
I have been debating setting up this 'gofundme' as it seems almost selfish, but this is now my last resort. As most people are aware I have always suffered due to having extremely large breasts. Due to this, I have many side effects. I am 20 years old and I struggle doing even the simplest of tasks, for this reason, I am fundraising BUT NOT FOR COSMETIC REASONS!

I need this reduction on the basis of the constant agony in my back from carrying the extra 2 stone on my chest. Some days it hurts even getting out of bed, it feels like my lower back is slowly deteriorating and my upper back and shoulders are unable to cope with the weight. The effect doesn't just cause physical side effects but it also destroys my mental health. I cant look at myself in the mirror without getting upset. even when I have learned to love every other part of me.
My other symptoms include shooting pains in my ribs, dents in my shoulders from my bras and rashes on my boobs.
Due to the pain, I am unable to do many things such as exercise, move and live a normal life.

After talking to my GP about getting a breast reduction on the NHS I was denied due to having too high of a BMI (a useless way to determine health). I was then told to exercise more and go on a diet. as someone that struggles with mental health issues, this made my heart sink. I felt as though I was being told that my worth was determined by my BMI and that I weighed too much to make any change. Although this affected me I tried and tried, I exercised 5 times a week and adhered to a diet I managed to lose 5kg, due to this my new GP referred me to a hospital to be put on the waiting list.
After just over two weeks the hospital sent me a letter informing me that I was being denied a breast reduction solely on the basis of having a too high BMI.
After speaking to medical professionals it is clear that I will not be able to get the reduction for at 3 years not including how long it'll take to lose the weight (because it has to be lost in a certain way because of the side effects)

This is not a decision I have taken lightly I have done all of the research for the surgery. this is my last chance. I am 20 and should be able to have a normal life. I am active, healthy and doing everything I can.

All funds raised will go towards the operation and everything it entails. I thank everyone who decides to donate so so much, no matter how much or little they can give; literally, every single penny helps get me closer to living a healthy, happy and (most importantly) pain-free life.
