On April 13, 2018 Nancy and Kevin were hit by a car while walking across the street while they were leaving Anthem Vegan and heading to Finest City Improv to perform. They both sustained major injuries that have short and long-term consequences.
Nancy has a concussion that produces terrible headaches and vertigo as well as a knee injury; she is currently not able to drive, nor work at the store they own together.
Kevin suffered a compound fracture in his leg and has already undergone one surgery, with at least one other surgery pending. He also injured his shoulder and other leg in the accident. It's likely Kevin won't be able to walk without assistance for 5-6 months.
Neither Kevin, nor Nancy is able to work and they are incurring medical and other expenses quickly. They are also facing the need for a wheelchair ramp to be installed at their house soon so that Kevin can come home when the Dr.s release him. There may be other modifications required based on how quickly he recovers.
Since Nancy isn't able to drive, she will likely need to use Uber or Lyft to get to and from the hospital and rehab facility, which can get expensive.
As you can imagine, the expenses are accumulating quickly and they are not generating income since they cannot work.
The Langdons have brought so much joy to all of us in the improv community through their generosity as performers and players; and with their astute guidance as coaches, musical directors, and teachers. They are lifelong learners, performers, and they embody the "Yes, And" spirit of improv.
Let's help them get back on their feet (pun intended) so they can heal without worry of an increasing (and crushing) financial burden.
Anything helps and no contribution is too small. YES? And!
