Lanier HS Crochet Club

Last year, I started a crochet club at Lanier High School in Austin, TX. Lanier is a very diverse Title 1 school. The kids fell in love with crochet. I had boys and girls coming to crochet during lunch and after school on a regular basis. They told me that it gave them a hobby and, in some cases, a connection to their family because they had family members who used to crochet. Some of the teen moms made hats for their kids. At the end of the school year, we yarn bombed the library. The kids had a blast and the library looked awesome. This year, we want to expand our yarn bombing, crochet for charity, and just spread the love of crochet. I need some money to buy yarn and hooks for the kids to get us started off. Anything you give will be greatly appreciated.
