So......this just happened...
While on my wedding anniversary, me and my wife Gina went to Laos to visit friends.....while there, we got to explore the country side and all the many villages surrounding Luang Prabang...
We visited many ethnic minority villages (Hmong/Kamu).
It broke my heart guys.....so much so, I’ve adopted/sponsored a little girl named Kieng....these children are sometimes homeless and living in the county side depending on the villages where they live...most homes don’t have running water/electricity...and can barely feed themselves let alone another child...most girls Kieng’s age are married off to older gentlemen for a small fee...we’re talking a 12 year old to a 70year old man(foreigners) only to buy land in Laos, and to sell them back in their home countries....this has infuriated me!!! So I have taken it upon myself to take care of the one girl this may happen to soon...(breaks my heart)....I have talked to the village elder and have set her up in a home for two months...until she can move to the city and live with our friends until we can work something out.
We will go back in about 2-3months to see what’s the progress, and hope to give her the future most children in these countries will never have....no food! No water! Sleeping on the streets...(villages don’t have street lights and are all dirt roads...I will post pictures so you may see)
While there I’ve helped fix the only school in the area...no Roof!!!
And have passed out shampoo/candy/pens/etc.
I’m asking all my friends near and far to help me help these people....not sure how you can send me money, but anything would help!
I will start a fund for my Laos daughter’s village to help these people....not sure how to set up a fund for my people in the states, but any help would be accepted greatly!
As for my friends and family....you may stop by my office anytime to help with monetary help or clothes,note books,pens,pencils,etc.
I will go back soon and will post updates as soon as I can...
