Emily Burgess End of Life Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Joey and I am writing for my dad Larry and my step mom Em. Em has fought cancer for 10 years now and is at the end of her fight. My dad has had to stop working to be home to help her full time, and the bills have begun to back up. Between hospice care, medical bills, and every day life its beginning to be a lot for him. My family and I have helped out as much as we can, and will continue to help out, but we thought we might reach out to others in this time of need.

Em has fought stage 4 non small cell lung cancer on and off for 10 years. She finished chemo and started hospice about a year ago. The doctors and nurses have kept her as comfortable as possible during this time, but Em is a fighter. Anyone that knows her knows that about her. She will not go down without a fight. She is still with us today, but things are getting tough. Hospice has supplied her with a hospital bed and a daily nurse that comes to check on her. She is ready to move on, but she is worried about my dad and how he will get on without her.

If you are able to help out in anyway, my family will greatly appreciate it. The money will go to help out my dad with funeral costs, hospice costs, and medical bills. Thank you so much for your time.
