A Family in Need for the Loss of Larry Brockman
Donation protected
To our friends, family, and any kind strangers willing to help a family in need, I am deeply saddened to announce the loss of my Uncle Larry. He passed away after a long, hard fought battle at his home with family by his side on January 28, 2024 at the age of 56 years young. Uncle Larry bravely battled a multitude of medical conditions he endured as an adult, including Brittle Diabetes, Neuropathy, strokes, seizures, Sepsis, among other complications with digestion. He was mentally, emotionally, and physically the strongest man I've ever known to endure everything he went through with his medical situation. He fought so bravely and endured so much pain until his last breath.
Before he fell ill, my uncle loved to immerse himself in the world of video games. He was a master at understanding the ins and outs of computers. He was uniquely gifted with words and all animals, no matter tame or wild, immediately trusted and loved him. A skill that he inherited from his father, he was blessed with the gift of gab and making a friend in anyone he met and holding those true friends as close to him as family. He was skillful at making someone feel like the most important person in the world. His wild stories of the opportunities he seized would always leave you wanting to hear more. He chose to indulge in a life filled with happiness, excitement, and new opportunities. He was a grounded man and unapologetically himself to his very last breath.
Because he suffered these illnesses as an adult, he could not physically work or pay for life insurance. His caretaker was his mother, a retired woman who dropped everything to take care of her son. When nearing the end, my grandma realized he wouldn't be able to buy his own burial plot, so she gave up hers for him, so he could still be buried next to family.
I'm posting to ask the world for help, which I don't do often. His funeral expenses, even with us cutting costs where we could, are still too much for my family to pay. We are begging anyone willing to help out to give a little if you can. Our goal is to raise $16,000. The donations we are seeking are to pay for my Uncle's funeral costs ($11,000) and buy another burial plot for my grandma ($5,000) so she can also be next to family when the time comes. Anything you are able to give, even as small as $1 would help us out tremendously. If you are not able to give, I desperately ask that you share so this can reach others who can. We appreciate each and every person who is able and willing to contribute to our goal and humbly thank you so much in advance. My uncle was an amazing man, dealt a hard hand in life. My family and I would cherish some financial peace of mind while we mourn the loss of my irreplacable uncle.
