Larry Darnell “Trae” Marshall III

Hi, I’m Leanna and I’m the cousin of Jillian and LJ Marshall, the mother and father of Trae.

On March 29, 2023 Trae was senselessly shot and killed in broad daylight at the age of 16 in Tacoma, WA. His sisters, Brianna and Destiny are forever without their beloved brother.

No parents are prepared, nor should they be prepared, to bury their child.

Trae was smart, funny, charismatic, and an amazing athlete. And yet, he was so much more than words could describe.

Our family is devastated and our lives will never be the same without our baby boy.

I’m asking for support on behalf of the Marshall family — anything helps and is much appreciated.

3/31 Update: Thank you all so much for this outpouring of love. Nothing can fix our broken hearts but your support helps heal the pain bit by bit. We are reading every comment and message. We see your names and appreciate your love. If you’ve given anonymously, we see you too. We’ve exceeded our goal at this time but I will keep this open as Trae’s family is organizing services. I’ll update this page as I hear more. All funds will be going toward funeral and memorial costs. This is still an open case and the murderer(s) have not been found yet.
