Larry McGinnis’s Celebration of life and Family

Donation protected

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Larry McGinnis due to a sudden medical event while driving to work. He was a cherished husband, father, and friend to many.

Larry grew up in the south hills of Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelors’ degree in accounting. During his time in Indiana, Larry was very active within the fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa and at one point was fraternity president.

Larry had many passions ranging from golf to helping coach his son’s sports teams as he grew up. Larry participated in many charity golf tournaments with his friends and family. He loved to travel with his wife Kim, traveling throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Larry was a loving father. He had a positive impact on everyone in the family. Often a man of few words but you knew to listen when he spoke as it was always great conversations. An avid steelers fan with a competitive side playing fantasy football with many of his closest friends.

As we grapple with the pain of this loss, we are reaching out to our community for support during this difficult time. The suddenness of Larry’s passing has left a significant void, and we are faced with the daunting task of arranging a fitting farewell to honor their memory.

Larry's spouse, Kim, is now burdened not only with the emotional weight of grief but also with the financial strain of funeral expenses and unforeseen costs. We humbly ask for your support to help alleviate this burden and provide Kim with the peace of mind to focus on healing.

Larry is survived by his wife Kim, son Michael, daughter Brittani, and granddaughters Carson, Layla, and Gracie.

How Your Contribution Will Help:

Funeral Expenses: A portion of the funds raised will go towards covering the funeral and memorial service costs to give Larry the dignified farewell he deserves.

Support for Kim: We aim to ease the financial stress on Kim, covering immediate and ongoing expenses as she navigates through this challenging period.

Celebration of Life: We have been working diligently with multiple advocates from Phi Sigma Kappa. We plan to have his celebration of life in mid march of 2024, close to his birthday.

How You Can Help:

Donate: Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact and will be deeply appreciated.

Share: Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and networks to help us reach as many people as possible.

Final Thoughts:
Your kindness and support during this time mean the world to us. Larry touched the lives of so many, and your contributions will help us honor his memory in a meaningful way.

On behalf of Kim and the entire family, we thank you for your love, thoughts, and contributions.

Together, let's ensure that Larry receives the farewell he deserves.

With gratitude,
Kim, Brittani, and Michael
