Larry "Moon" Thompson Fundraiser Gala
Donation protected
Well, guys. This sucks. I'll try to keep this short and maybe I'll edit it later. My dad, Larry, publicly known as Moon from radio station KS95, died in January. Anyone who met him or heard his voice knew how much of a light he was in a world of darkness and gloom.
He never wanted his death to be viewed as a tragic event, but rather as a symbol that closes out a lifetime's worth of epic achievement. The family and close friends will do a small, private celebration in the summer, so in the interim, I'm throwing a big fundraiser gala for all the public to come join. Go get a new dress! Get your favorite suit dry-cleaned!
He worked extensively with the MS Society to help raise awareness and funding to fight this disease which unfortunately took everything from him. This is my extension of his philanthropy.
EVENT INFORMATION: February 24th, 2024 at the Green Room in Uptown Minneapolis. 7pm-1am. There will be a red carpet, on-site games (bring cash), a full bar, appetizers, a live DJ, and hundreds of Moon's friends, family, and fans in one room sharing stories of the big man himself. Come rejoice!
If you cannot make it to the fundraiser gala event but would like to donate nonetheless to help us reach our goal, you can do so here. His last (and maybe favorite) company he worked for, KS95, raised $44,000 in the week following his passing. I want to hit $51,000. Combine the two numbers and you get $95,000!!!
I thank you all for your donations and support during this emotionally turbulent period for my family.
<5% will go towards event costs. Every penny of net revenue goes to the MS Society (minus processing fees). Join the movement. Let's help future families avoid dealing with what we went through. Love you guys. God bless.
