Larry Musso's Lifeline Fund
Donation protected
You can help save lives by donating to this fund. Larry did not have to leave us at such a young age. Please read the details below and consider helping us in our cause to prevent unnecessary death due to lack of equipment. Any small donation in his memory would be a tremendous gift in Larry's honor. He was a helpful, humble man with a heart of gold. Larry went out of his way to do favors for anyone and everyone. His loss is felt tremendously by his family, friends, and coworkers.
My husband, Larry Musso, died unexpectedly on October 10, 2019, at the age of 54, after collapsing in our home. Upon his collapse at 9:20 pm, my daughter and I immediately began CPR and called 911. Unbeknownst to us, the paid paramedic had gone off duty at 9:00 pm. Fortunately, the volunteer ambulance and police arrived on the scene quickly, but due to lack of equipment, more vital time was lost waiting for the paramedic from a neighboring town to arrive. Larry did not arrive at the hospital until 45 minutes after his collapse. The most heartbreaking words I have ever heard were from the cardiologist telling me he could have saved Larry - had he not been without oxygen for so long.
I have created Larry Musso's Lifelife, a lifesaving kit, in memory of my husband. It will include a lifevac choking prevention device, along with a bag-valve mask tool (BMV) and a portable suction device. Any or all of this equipment could have saved my husband's life. We hope to provide this kit to all police and emergency vehicles that respond to emergency calls. This, does not, however, negate the importance of having a paid 24 hour paramedic on duty at all times. It is a matter of life or death. In addition to this lifesaving kit, we want to ensure everyone has a paid paramedic in their town.
With your generosity, this kit could also be distributed to schools, restaurants, beaches, movie theaters, and other public places where emergencies may happen. Please share this Go Fund Me link with your social networks, family, and friends so we may reach as many people as possible and save even more lives.
Larry was a generous man; smart, funny and happy-go-lucky. Any donation in his memory, and to save lives in the future, would be greatly appreciated.
