Friends, my name is Nick Stark, and my dear friend and band mate, Larry Palmer, has recently had some medical problems, and the members our band, The Odd Company, and my students at DDHS are going to hold a concert on Saturday, March 18th to help Larry and his wife, Janet, with his medical expenses. In addition, we have also started this go fund me fundraiser.

Larry has been a longtime friend of the DDHS bands, and his children, Dane and Josie, are both previous graduates of the DDHS band program. He has helped my students every year in their preparation for solo & ensemble contest, he has been a guest clinician for our band camps, and he has been a great resource and mentor for me as a band director. In addition, Janet and Josie have helped us with many aspects of our musical productions over the years. If you don’t know the Palmers, you could not ask for better folks to support your program.

Again, the fundraiser concert will be on Saturday, March 18th, at 7 PM in the DDHS auditorium. The concert will feature an excellent student rock band, Diana and the Dukes, the DDHS jazz ensemble, and Jeremiah Fox and the Odd Company band (including myself on guitar, Peter Finnegan on drums and violin, and Thaddeus Cellak on bass). The concert is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 for attending, and all proceeds will go to Larry’s medical expenses.
