Larry the Best Biggest Boy

This afternoon when I arrived home, my sweet boy, Larry could not walk to the door to meet me. I ran over to him, but he couldn’t move his back legs to get up. I quickly rushed him to the emergency vet where they were able to do some testing to try and see what’s going on with him.

The trip alone cost me $2000. As the testing proceeded, we were able to find out some more things, and it was apparent that his situation was very complicated.

It’s very possible that he has diabetes, but they’re really not sure at this point because they don’t know what’s going on with his numbers. He had a seizure while he was at the vet and possibly had one or more at home. They told me that I could make the decision to put him down or that I could leave him for 48 hours to see if they could stabilize him and get a diagnosis. The stay in the hospital is going to cost me $6000.

I love him too much to just let him die because he’s sick. It’s not a decision I ever thought I would have to make, especially not so soon after losing Zoe.

I’m making this GoFundMe to see if you guys can help me to afford the care that he needs. At this point, the bill stands at $8000, but I’m not sure if there will be more as we move forward. The vet made it very clear that with a case like this, should it turn out to be diabetes, there are no guarantees that he’ll live. Please help us out by donating to the cost of his medical bills.

If you’ve ever met, Larry, you know that he is the sweetest boy in the entire world. at the vet, it was hard for them to get his heartbeat, because he was purring, so loud late, and he kept making biscuits the entire time. He’s the best boy in the whole world, and my heart is breaking. It’s clear that he is not in any pain, and that is quality of life is good, so I really want him to stay.
