Larry's Fight for a New Heart
Donation protected
On Thursday, December 12th, our dad, Larry Christensen, was admitted to the hospital for congestive heart failure. He has a completely blocked artery (Left Anterior Descending) in his heart that has caused his left ventricle to become mostly dead and not function properly. This has caused a very large aneurism, making his left ventricle 2-3 times it’s normal size. His heart is not able to heal itself and has very limited function, so he is waiting to see if he is a candidate to be placed on the transplant list for a new life saving heart.
His health has been slowly declining all this year with no obvious signs of heart trouble until recently. His road to recovery is a long one that will include what feels like insurmountable medical bills.
He is currently in the Coronary ICU at Intermountain Medical Center and can not have visitors at this time, but he feels your thoughts and prayers and we are so grateful he is still alive and making his medical team smile and laugh.
There have been friends and family members who have reached out and asked how they can help, so we (Larry and Jelaire’s children) have created this GoFundMe account in case anyone would like to donate. All of the funds will go directly to Larry & Jelaire to help cover medical expenses and offset the burden of Larry not being able to work for months to come.
Our father has greatly blessed and influenced the lives of all he comes in contact with. His smile lights up a room and he has been so generous with his time and energy to bless the lives of those around him. If you would like to help alleviate some of the mounting financial burden please share this page and donate with any amount possible - a little can go a long way. We greatly appreciate your generosity!
