In Loving Memory of Larry Lerner
Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family of Larry Lerner,
With a very heavy heart, I am writing to let you know that Larry Lerner passed away this morning (4/1/2020) from COVID-19. He checked into the hospital on Monday and was placed on a ventilator, but unfortunately, he never got better. I am sure all of you are shocked and devastated by Larry's passing. I am in utter disbelief.
Lynne (Larry's lovely wife) is at home recovering from COVID-19 herself, and she has given me permission to start this GoFundMe campaign on her/Larry's behalf. Every bit of your donation will help with Larry's funeral expenses and other costs that Lynne may face in the near future.
Larry and Lynne both are very special to me/The Fuzzy Pet Foundation - (TFPF). In 2013, they adopted from us a beautiful brindle Pit Bull boy, Lee, and gave him an exceptional life filled with love. We had rescued Lee from an animal hoarder. Lee had been severely neglected and abused. We waited for years to find the right adopters for Lee. And then when we met Larry and Lynne, we knew we had won jackpot.
Larry and Lynne dedicated their whole lives to raising and nurturing Lee. They traveled with Lee to Moonstone Beach, celebrated holidays with him, took him to agility classes, and proved to others that Pit Bulls are truly loyal, remarkable dogs. When Lee was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma (a very aggressive cancer), they did "surgery, chemo, and worked with one of the top five holistic oncologists in the country" to keep him comfortable and extend his life. In December 2019, they had to say goodbye to Lee.
Larry will be sorely missed. He was an incredible and genuine human being -- FULL of love, compassion, humility, and talent. He was a proud Pit Bull advocate. And you could tell by his posts on social media just how much he adored and respected his life partner, Lynne. It's unfair that he was taken from us so soon.
Sincerely,
Sheila
