In February 2016, my friend and fellow Brother in Blue, Larry Mulock received extremely devastating news. The devoted husband, father and police officer was informed after a recent emergency room visit that he is suffering from stage four Colon Cancer. This malignant cancer has spread to his liver, chest, and lymph nodes. Larry has recently started undergoing chemotherapy. As you can imagine, this news has been both shocking and heartbreaking to his family.
Despite having received this dire news, Larry's spirits, optimism, and determination remain higher than ever. For those of you like me who have the distinct honor and privilege of knowing him, this news certainly comes as no surprise. Those of you who know him would also probably understand the impossibility of encapsulating the truly amazing man that is my friend Larry in just a few short paragraphs.
As a friend, Larry is one the most pleasant and up beat persons I have ever come to know. With a never-ceasing smile that infects all those who come across it and a personality full of life, humor, and wit, he is a bright shining light in the lives of so many.
As a dedicated police officer for the city of Long Beach for the past 10 years, Larry has tirelessly and selflessly served his community with great honor and distinction. Serving his community with an incredible balance of both strength and compassion.
With all that I have come to know about my friend Larry over the past ten years, there is one certain and absolute truth I have realized in him. And that quite simply is, that he utterly loves and adores his wife "Tiff", son Ricky and daughter Victoria beyond all measure.
I am setting up this GoFundMe account with the hopes of helping my incredible friend and his family through this daunting battle. And as a way for friends, fellow brothers and sisters in blue, and family to show their love and support for him, because he means everything to us.
The road ahead for Larry and his family will be exceptionally challenging both emotionally and physically to say the very least. Again, please join me in Larry’s Rally Against Cancer. No donation is too small. Together we can provide tremendous financial relief to Larry and his family.
