As a self described foodie, I was thrilled to hear of another high quality restaurant opening in East Sac! However, while away on vacation,
I had family and friends forwarding me links to local newspaper articles describing the legal issues Mattone Restaurant had been up against, just as they were working so hard to open during a pandemic.

Really, like restaurant owners have not been through enough?
Between the 15 Mattone employees and the owners, they have a combined total of 202 years of dedication to their former employer.
This is not how they should be treated after so many years of hard work and loyalty.
While speaking to locals, I found that most who were aware of Mattone's legal issues, were also disappointed that anyone would try to add to the stress of opening a new restaurant.
I believe as a community we can do so much more than TELL Mattone's we support them. Let's put our money where our mouths are,
for it has been our mouths that have been delighted with Mattone's new delicious menu.
Please join me in helping Mattone Restaurant tackle their expensive ongoing legal fees. Opening a new restaurant is pricey enough.
