Last Barrier to my degree

Hello, my name is LaMont, and I am fundraising to get back into school and complete my BS. I graduated from Compton High School back in June 1999. Upon graduation, I enrolled at Arizona State University in Tempe to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I studied for three and a half years but could not complete my degree. In year 3, I switched my major to Civil Engineering. As they say life happens; I begin doing more work on the job and less time in school. After a medical issue in 2004, it was neither work nor school. However, I bounced back with a job in 2005 at the school and began to take one class at a time for the next few years. Like most people, I took a big hit during the 2008 housing crash. I faced homelessness in 2011, but many people helped me along the way. Nonetheless, I was forced to drop out the last semester I attended classes, which left me with a bill that prevented me from getting my transcripts and completing my endeavor.

I have always had a passion for computers. I have been working with them since at least 1993. Through self-study and working experience, I obtained three certifications in Information Technology. I received CompTIA A+ and Network + certifications and became a Mircosoft Certified Professional. I established a Computer Hardware Company in 2012 (www.HarveyCreations.com). It has not taken off as I have expected. I plan to return to ASU to complete my BS in Information Technology. I have encountered one last barrier to achieving my dream of graduating college. When I had to drop out in 2010, I was left with a significant debt from the university. I have made up a good portion of it, but there remains $4,000 to get back in good standing.
