Last Call: The Specs Film

Donation protected
Sassy and ribald, romantic and revolutionary, "Last Call: The Specs Film" tells the story of San Francisco's iconic North Beach bar,  Specs' 12 Adler Museum Cafe, a union, legacy and iconic center of culture and drinking!

Opened on April 26, 1968, a year of cultural and political upheaval, Specs' 12 Adler Museum Cafe reflects the man, Specs Simmons, his aesthetics, his politics, and his music.  After five decades, Specs' bar remains, "a place to drink and tell lies."

Currently in post-production the film depicts a unique man,  coming of age as a rebel in politically charged post-World War II America, who leaves the east coast for a west coast life of freedom and creativity.

We need funds to continue editing this feature documentary about a man, a neighborhood, and his bar. Thanks for your generous donation, and for sharing our campaign with your community.
