Last Chance for Henrietta

Hi friends,

I've struggled with how to or even whether to ask for help. I know everyone has so much going on in their own lives and I didn't want to add to that.

Our little bub, Henrietta, is in a bad way. She has a cancerous mammary tumor that has ulcerated and needs to be removed quickly if there's any chance of us having a few more years with her. The tumor is in one area and does not seem to have spread to her lungs, so removal and some aftercare feels hopeful.

We can't afford the surgery.

To be honest, we can't even afford to put her down. After two years of health and work challenges within the family, money is pretty nonexistent. I know many of you are struggling in the same way, which is why I've been so hesitant to ask. But we are at a crisis point, because she is clearly in pain.

So, if you can even spare a dollar toward trying to keep our Henny with us, I'd be so grateful. I want my kids to see that I'm trying to give her the best possible chance and I've felt so completely impotent because it's not within my ability.

We've been quoted the above figure for surgery and aftercare. I am unsure what euthanasia costs, but probably a fraction. Either way, any help you can give will help us remove the pain that she's currently in.

(I also want to mention that I am a genealogist and am absolutely willing to help anyone with family/home research to provide a service for your donation.)
