Last ditch, hail Mary...

As many of you know, my mother lost her battle with cancer recently. Once she required full time care, it was more than my aunt could handle on her own, so for the last 4 months, I put job hunting on the back burner so that I could help her take care of my mother. During which time, all of our financial burdens fell upon Tristan. However, our rent alone was 70% of his income, and consequently we fell drastically behind, and also had to put off necessary repairs on his car.
My mother had put the deed to the family property in my brother Rob's name in order to prevent it from being taken in the event of unpaid medical expenses. I had entered into a verbal agreement with my brother that, in August, I would move into our mother's house and take over the payments associated with it (property tax, utilities, payments on the appliances... etc) This way he wouldn't be burdened with any additional expenses, and I would have an inexpensive place to live, at least until we regained our financial stability. And with the drastic reduction in our monthly expenses, we'd be able repay our landlady who has been amazingly patient and understanding through all of this....
Two weeks ago, for reasons known only to himself, my brother decided to renege on this agreement without any warning, and he waited until we were past the financial "point of no return" to let us know.
So.... this is my hail Mary. My last ditch effort to fundraise enough to bring us current on rent, and fix Tristan's car so that I can find work. I honestly don't know what else to do. We've sold everything of value that wasn't a necessity. Failing this, our only other option is to sell my karaoke equipment and the Subaru, which may bail us out of our immediate predicament, but will ultimately cost us a lot in the long run.
*funds allocation: $3000 will be paid to my landlady, and $1000 put toward vehicle repairs
