Last hope for Derrick

Derrick was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophageal Endocarcinoma on Thursday December 15, 2022. On Tuesday September 26, 2023 we found that the cancer had spread significantly and is now taking over his liver. The Doctors have told him there is no hope for a cure and he only has 3 months to live, with chemotherapy he could have 6 months, but his body cannot take anymore chemo with the horrible side effects and pain and sickness that drains him.

Derrick has been doing chemo since his diagnosis, and radiation for a time, but the radiation damaged his esophagus even more. He could hardly eat or drink, and at times not even swallow his own spit. They placed 2 stents in his esophagus so he could swallow. The stents have been significantly painful. As a result of all this, Derrick has lost around 70 pounds along with all his muscle and strength. He is unable to work resulting in losing his job and his health coverage. At this time he is barely able to walk and talk without completely exhausting himself.

Our only hope to try and save Derrick is to get him to the IBC Clinic where the recovery rate is very high and several we know have been completely cured of all cancer through alternative therapy. It is an expensive treatment option but the Chemotherapy is not working and there is no other option. If everyone who reads this donates even $5, it adds up and we can help save his life.

Any money raised will go to pay all his medical expenses that he has already accrued and continuing to accrue.
