Last hope medical treatment

Donation protected
Wow! Thankyou everyone, I've reached my target in less than a week of posting.  I will be booking the procedure asap and the two-week accommodation stay near the hospital thereafter. I'll have a Christmas of colon prep, drugs and colonic irrigations, which the credit card can enjoy, but then hopefully a new me in the new year.  All going to plan, I aim to be booked in for the beginning of January. I will keep everyone posted. All your kind donations will go towards making my future a brighter one than it was yesterday...

Thanks

You may still be hearing from me as I tell my story with others and on radio. I hope I can inspire others to go and achieve want you want, everyone has thier own struggles and at differing severities, but that doesn't have to stop you from creating the future YOU want! Don't let anyone tell you no, and don't give up!

Danielle from www.essentialhealthcolonics.co.uk has kindly offered a course of coloinic treatments leading upto and prior to the treatment at Taymount. This is required for a more successful transplant. Thank you

In 2015 at the age of 29 and whilst in my final year at university, studying a veterinary degree, I suffered a brain haemorrhage/stroke, which turned my world upside down. I spent two months in hospital being hooked up to a drain, within my brain, and a feeding tube in order to keep me fed. I was unable to walk and use my right side, the haemorrhage had also left me with balance issues meaning I felt constantly dizzy and subsequently nauseous.

I left hospital after two months and had to return to my family home, where my retired mum and dad, who were living on a low income had to care for me whilst still being unable to walk or use my right side properly. In December of the same year I had Stereo-tactic Radiosurgery to fix the cause of my haemorrhage and to prevent any further recurrences. The dizziness and nausea continued and at this point I had lost a lot of weight, weighing only 5 stone. Throughout the next two years I worked on regaining my motor functions in the hope of returning to university and independence.

I made considerable improvements, but unfortunately still suffer some of the consequences. I was even more unfortunate in that prior to the brain haemorrhage I had contracted Giardia, a protozoa parasite that lives in the gut. To treat this I was given strong antibiotics, which at first seemed to solve the problem, but symptoms quickly returned. Soon after the haemorrhage, as well as suffering with dizziness and nausea I started getting recurrent stomach upsets aswell. At times this was so severe I had to be hospitalised.

Three years on I have managed to make it back to university and I am now repeating my clinical years in order to make sure my clinical knowledge is up to scratch. My stomach issues, however, are still ongoing with a diagnosis of complex pain syndrome, aerophagia and visceral hypersensitivity being given. At present I have to take several medications to try and manage my condition: Pregabalin, Omeprazole and Tramadol and I still suffer pain and nausea on a daily basis even with these.

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any hope within the NHS and I’m suffering mentally, with depression and anxiety, having to deal with the anguish each day. Through my hours of research I have come across one possible treatment for my condition. Unfortunately it’s not something yet available on the NHS and is only accessible through a private clinic. The cost of the treatment is nearly £4000, something I’ll find impossible to fund, especially as a student.  In addition they also require you stay near by as the treatment can sometimes cause fatigue and drowsiness,  further adding to the cost with hotels.

I’m desperate to find some resolution, to this problem at least, in the hope of then improving further physically and completing my degree. So I’m here as a last resort to ask you for any help you can muster in order to help pay for possible life changing FMT treatment, which will hopefully help in repairing and repopulating my intestinal bacteria giving me some relief from my daily struggles. My parents and family are there to help where they can, but find it hard to help financially, living on a low income and a state pension.

In addition to the treatment needed I have the additional costs of having to retake my clinical years. I cant afford to retake anymore years due to ill health, already owing huge debts, so please help donate, like and share. Thank You for taking the time to read my story and I appreciate any help you can spare…
