Last Visit with Dad: Help Kim get to California

My dad has inoperable cancer. He's got a very short time to live, and I would like to fly to California to see him once last time. I haven't been home since 2017 for a myriad of reasons, the biggest of those being cost. My husband and I just don't have the money to get me to California and back. I'll have to miss a few days of work on top of the expensive plane tickets, motel, and rental car.

As far the Internet tells me right now, a plane ticket for the next few weeks is between $400-700, a motel is around $250 for three nights, and a car is about $35/day. On top of that I'll need food money. California is an expensive place.

If you have anything to donate, rest assured it will be used to get me to CA to see my dad before he dies.

We always prepare for these moments, but it's never quite enough compared to the reality.
