Late Erol Karatas

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return).

Dear brothers and sisters,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news of the passing of our dear brother, Erol Karatas, on the 29th of September after a brave battle with lung cancer. Erol came to the UK two years ago, full of hope, working as a self-employed engineer to provide a better life for his wife and two young children. Tragically, just seven months after arriving, he was diagnosed with this devastating illness, which took him from us far too soon.

His beloved wife and children are now left behind, struggling to cope with their loss and the financial burdens that have followed. As a community, it is our duty to stand by them in this difficult time, offering both our prayers and our support. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity” (Tirmidhi).

We are raising funds to help ease the financial hardship on Erol’s grieving family, as they navigate life without their beloved husband and father. Your generous donations, no matter how small, will support their immediate needs and future stability, including housing, education for the children, and other essential expenses.

May Allah (SWT) reward you for your kindness and grant you barakah in your wealth. Please keep Erol and his family in your duas, and may Allah (SWT) grant him Jannat al-Firdaws and provide patience and ease for his family during this incredibly challenging time.
