Latin School Military Memorial Plaque

Donation protected
The Latin School of Indianapolis existed from 1955 until 1978 as a pre-seminary high school.  Many future Catholic priests graduated from there, but also a sizable number of students joined the military.  Four of them died while serving their country.

We want to install a memorial plaque in the courtyard between Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the old Latin School building, which is currently home to Lumen Christi School and the Archdiocese CYO.  The purpose of this plaque will be to honor these four Latin School alumni and to help teach an important moral value to the children of the diocese.  The bronze plaque will be 18x24" and inscribed as below:

In Loving Memory Of The Latin School Graduates Who Died While Serving In The United States Military.

Donald W. Cors, Class of 1960

William R. Hartwell, Class of 1962

Timothy J. Maude, Class of 1965

Dennis R. Reuter, Class of 1972

Please Work and Pray For Peace.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.”  Matthew 5:9

All funds raised in excess of our $2,000 goal will be donated to the Holy Rosary Church's courtyard restoration project scheduled for the summer of 2019.

Thanks for reading.  Help us honor these individuals by donating.  Please spread the word to the Latin School Community!
