Save the Angeleno Heights Trolley

Hello!  We are the Angeleno Heights Trolley Inc., an official non profit organization that has in its possession the original #1030 streetcar that ran from Angeleno Heights to Downtown L.A. through the late 1940s.

Our goal as a non profit organization is to share its history with Echo Park by restoring and displaying it in the Angeleno Heights community by means of a coffee shop, art gallery or museum: the possibilities are endless, which is why we are looking for your ideas and financial support.

Over the past few years the trolley has sat in limbo and the budget from years of fundraising has been spent due to time in a storage facility that has raised rent dramatically at every turn.

We have recently been in touch with the city's metro system and are pleased to report that they are interested in helping us get the trolley out of storage and towards full renovations to make our #1030 trolley a historical monument for the Echo Park community.

To do this, we must first raise funds to pay off current storage and move the trolley to a metro appropriate location to begin quotes on refurbishment.

Therefore, we are asking for your help in donating any amount you can afford to this project for phase 1 (storage/moving).  We welcome your feedback and wish to move forward with this as a community.
