Launch MEMESat-1
Tax deductible
Undergrad students at the University of Georgia (UGA) are working with a local nonprofit, Let’s Go to Space, Inc to build its first satellite mission, the Mission for Education and Multimedia Engagement (MEMESat-1). This mission gives 30+ students a year the unique opportunity to work on the design and development of a real spacecraft with real aerospace industry mentors. Additionally, the K-12 outreach efforts associated with MEMESat and Let's Go to Space have impacted over 1000 students across North America!
Design and prototyping of MEMESat-1 is wrapping up and the students working on the program need your help funding the final build of the spacecraft! This spacecraft will be a 2U amateur radio CubeSat. Its primary mission is to serve as an FM Repeater and to downlink donor submitted memes via UHF SSTV protocol.
Your donations will help pay for:
- Our final engineering unit and flight unit electrical boards,
- machining of our spacecraft structure,
- time at space-rated environmental testing facilities,
- testing equipment, and
- sending some of our students to the MEMESat-1 launch!
