The Baltimore Bolts are entering our fifth season!
Who we are: Baltimore's FRC Team! The Baltimore Bolts, Team #6326, is Baltimore’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team. This season we have 14 students from 4 city schools - Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Western High, City College HS, and Ben Franklin HS. We are still growing and accepting new team members from any city high school.
What we do: We build robots! By participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition, our students work side by side with STEM professionals to design, program, and build a robot that performs in a new annual challenge – all in the span of six weeks. In 2019, we competed in five competitions across the region. In 2020, the season was cut short. However, in 2021, we are planning on competing virtually against teams across the nation and possibly attending an in-person competition.
Why we're awesome (and why you should help out!): Our mission is to give our team members the inspiration and skills needed to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and manufacturing through competitive robotics. Many of our past students have gone on to pursue higher education in a STEM field upon leaving the Bolts. While robots are super cool, they do cost money, and we need financial support to enter and travel to competitions and buy supplies. We never charge our students to participate in the Bolts.
The Baltimore Bolts are extremely thankful for all of the support we have received from our community, and could not do what we do without you all. Please consider donating to help us do bigger and better things this year. Any little bit helps! Thank you!
