Launching the Dupont Circle Little Flea Market!

Donation protected
After several years of operating a casual, neighborhood-focused market at the corner of 19th and S, I am extremely happy to announce the upcoming opening of the Dupont Circle Little Flea Market, an expanded antique and vintage goods market at the corner of 19th and Q! The Dupont Little Flea is slated to open in May and will operate on Sundays throughout the year, with similar hours to the adjacent Farmers' Market. Vendors will include myself and a few other carefully curated sellers, all of us offering high quality and useful antique and vintage items at a reasonable price point.  As with my current market, the Dupont Little Flea will pledge a strong commitment to community. Each week, a space will be offered to a neighbor wishing to sell their wares--prior to a move, as part of a downsizing, as an artist or a craftmaker... Neighbors with just a few things to let go of will be able to consign them, and a bulletin board will be set up to help folks exchange furniture and other large items. Each week, 10% of sales will be donated to a Dupont-focused non-profit or other neighborhood endeavour, such the Dupont Circle Citizens Association and the Dupont Circle Village. Finally, as with my current market, the Little Flea will offer a space for neighbors to stop by for a friendly chat, meet other good people, make new friends, and strengthen the social fabric of our wonderful neighborhood! The District has just approved a public space permit to allow me to operate this market, and I am now raising start-up capital to launch. Expenses include the cost of the permit and a vendor license, insurance, marketing, and equipment such as tents and tables. My goal is to raise $5,000 in start-up capital. All contributors will receive a one-time gift of Phillumeni greeting cards. Contributors of $100 or more will receive a 10% discount for all purchases at the Dupont Little Flea in perpetuity! The Dupont Circle Little Flea aspires to become an important asset to our neighborhood---at the intersection of commerce and community. Please offer what you can to make this happen! And thanks!
