Laundry Access To Those In Need
Donation protected
With the second wave of Covid-19 and city wide lock-downs, and so many people facing financial challenges, many are facing challenges in having their laundry done due to financial hardships.
The funds raised here will be distributed to participating laundromats and be given to individual(s) experiencing financial hardship with access to laundry services with the cost of the detergent, the washer and dryer cost of laundering their belongings.
The average cost for an individual to clean their laundry for detergent, wash and dry in a coin operated laundromat is approximately $5 or $20 for a family.
The goal is to distribute the $1000 to 5 different laundromats in the City of Toronto, $200 at each participating laundromat to help 40 individuals or 10 families to have clean clothes/towels/bed lines.
We are currently coordinating with laundromat owners within the City of Toronto initially and depending the effectiveness and success of this initiative, we are hoping to expand into the surrounding areas.
Now more than ever, everyone need to have clean clothes , clean towel(s) and/or bed linens. It shouldn't be a choice between buy a bag of milk or having clean laundry, individuals/family should be able to have both.
Please help our community and neighbours who are facing these financial hardships to have access to clean laundry.
It would help improve his/her/their standard of living tremendously.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and any contribution is greatly appreciated.
