Laundry Upgrade, Humane Society

As a strictly non-profit organization working with very limited funds, HSNB has not been able to maintain and upgrade their essential laundry annex. When faced with having to decide between new appliances or the ability to save more animals, the loving staff at HSNB will almost always choose the latter. This is why we love them and the work they do!

Unfortunately, that kind of selfless dedication has put them in dire need of help. Our goal is to upgrade the existing laundry center so the staff can spend LESS time doing laundry and more time caring for clients and animals! The laundry must be maintained - no exceptions - to avoid the spread of transmittable and sometimes deadly diseases, parasites such as ticks, scabies, ringworm and fleas...all of which threaten staff members as well as animals.  When a machine breaks down, the entire operation ceases to a hault, threatening the safety of the animals, staff and volunteers.

Our campaign, while still in the final building stages, will purchase brand new, state-of-the-art appliances with steam & sanitizing functions (no more bleach on pet toys!!), replace hazardous and broken overhead lighting fixtures, install smoke detectors and staff sanitary supplies, redesign storage space, install rubber floor matting, repair a hazardous and falling roof, repair and install drywall, purchase sorting baskets, cleaning supplies...and supply a stockpile of laundry detergent. AND MORE!

No contribution is too small and we appreciate anything you can give to help reach the goals of this meaningful campaign.
