Benefit Laura Christner Teal and Peach Battlefront

Hi, my name is Kim and I am fundraising for Laura Christner. We got it fixed! So everyone on here is absolutely sure... this benefits Laura 100%, it is linked to her bank account and I in no way will be taking any money raised for myself.

Laura’s her first surgery was April 2nd, 2021, with a diagnosis of Smooth muscle tumor of unknown malignant potential. She thought it was done and moved on with her life. Laura started to have problems again and went in to see the doctor and had a second surgery on July 11, 2023. On July 31, 2023, she was diagnosed with adenosarcoma with rhabdomyosaatcomatous (aggressive) with differentiation, involving both the ovarian and “peritoneal” masses (Stage 2 cancer) and she started chemo on August 10th, 2023.

After four rounds of chemotherapy, she had a CT scan and they found there wasn’t a lot of progress and all but one of the tumors at least doubled in size. The most recent surgery on December 1st came back with a diagnosis on December 15, 2023 showed that she has Mullerian adenosarcoma of the uterus with low-grade sarcomatous overgrowth characterized by prominent hydropic change resulting in mimicry of the smooth muscle tumor ( a very rare form of uterine cancer that took a Pathology Conference of 30 doctors to decide what would be the best treatment going forward.) Laura has a Stage 4 cancer now.

… On to the second set of chemotherapy. This chemotherapy is a lot stronger and will cause Laura to lose her hair. She is going to need more time to rest before she can go back to work. These are scheduled every three weeks and there is a total of four with the first round on December 22.

Laura has used all of her short-term disability and is not available again until July of 2024. Taking time off to recoup from the chemotherapy is going to take a toll mentally, physically, and financially. She also has a new deductible for the 2024 year that will need to be met of $1600.
