Laura Elder Scholarship Fund

For most of us who knew her, Laura Elder was truly a beloved and appreciated family member or friend, starting in her role as a loving daughter and sister, continuing her journey as an amazing wife and family member, and ultimately in her most precious role as a mother.  Perhaps the deepest impression she left on so many of us was the grace and openness with which she fought cancer. She shared with many her experiences, her hope and her sources of resilience, and her candor and tenacity were inspiring. And no one could escape a conversation without understanding her deep love and the strength she drew from her family – her husband, Dave, and their six kids, Jacob, Aubrey, Bill, Nick, Sam and Thomas.

To help keep Laura’s undeniable strength and passion for continuing to pursue what is meaningful as her legacy moving forward, a fundraiser has been established to help their kids achieve their dreams.  These donations will go directly to assisting Laura and Dave’s kids by providing to help pay for their educational or other aspiring needs throughout their journey as they follow their own passions and dreams.  These gifts would be Laura’s wish for her kids as she would want them to have the greatest opportunities to live their lives to the fullest just as she did.
