Laura Fallon - recovery from spinal cord injury

Laura Fallon is a dear friend to us all. Whether you've known Laura for decades, days or minutes, you know and have felt the love and generosity that exude from her.

Laura recently suffered a severe spinal cord injury on July 3rd requiring emergency surgery and cervical fusion, resulting in residual paralysis of her arms and legs. While we know how tough Laura is and how determined she is in every endeavor, we also know she has a long road to recovery ahead of her. And she cannot do this alone.

It is not said lightly when we say Laura is the most selfless person we know. Time after time Laura has risen to any occasion to help her friends and acquaintances ... from cooking meals filled with love to paying mortgages for those in need, to lending an understanding ear - Laura always puts the needs of others ahead of her own. Unbeknownst to many of us, Laura has in the past needed help but never asked. Always the care-giver, never the care-taker. That's just her way.

Now is the time we all need to reciprocate her love and generosity.

Laura faces a long road ahead full of healing, physical and occupational rehabilitation, needs for specialized equipment for her activities of daily living, specialized equipment for mobility, and adaptations to her home and living environment to be able to achieve as independent and fulfilling a life as possible.

Her path and outcome are uncertain as this injury and journey are so new, but what is certain is the need for our financial support to help her through this.

We all have our stories and accounts of Laura's selflessness and trust us when we say this ask does not come without Laura's hesitation and humility.
