LAURA GAYLE'S MEMORIAL FUND- MEDICAL & CELEBRATION OF LIFE

As many of you know, our amazing mom, Laura, passed away recently after a difficult and emotional journey. From the time I first took her to the hospital on February 22nd until her passing, it was just two days shy of a month. It all happened so fast, and we’ve been doing everything we can to keep up while making sure she was surrounded by love every step of the way.

Laura didn’t just put her family first; she made room in her heart for everyone. Friends, neighbors, even strangers—if you needed something, she was there. She was a constant presence in our lives, always showing up with love, support, and that firecracker spirit that made her so unforgettable.

She shared a hilarious, sweet, and one-of-a-kind love with Russ. The two of them were like an old married couple, bickering, laughing, teasing each other endlessly, but the love between them was real and deep. He never left her side, and we are so thankful for the love he gave her until her very last breath and still gives to not only her but to us girls and his grandbabies.

When I first took her to the hospital, she didn’t have medical insurance. On top of her treatment, I had to travel out of state to be with her and stay by her side. Eventually, I brought her into my home so I could care for her around the clock. That meant getting her all the medications, medical supplies, and home support she needed with no time to prepare emotionally or financially. It’s been an overwhelming journey, but one I wouldn’t trade for anything, because she deserved to be surrounded by love.

Now, as we try to process this enormous loss, we’re also faced with the financial weight of everything that’s come with it—upcoming medical expenses, out-of-pocket costs, and the upcoming celebration of life she so deeply deserves.

We’re asking for help so we can take care of what’s ahead and give our mom the farewell she truly earned. Every donation will go directly toward:

    •    Medical bills and medications not covered by insurance

    •    Out-of-state travel and home care expenses

    •    A beautiful and meaningful celebration of life for Laura

    •    Giving our family a little space to grieve and begin healing
