Laura Gustafsson

Friends and Family,

It is with heavy hearts but also with profound hope that we launch this campaign for our beloved Laura Tannariello Gustafsson. Hope – in Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Eph 3:20).

Laura leads a vibrant, health-conscious life, and though she pursued answers for some abdominal complaints throughout the past year, she received a number of dismissive and incorrect diagnoses. After a routine colonoscopy on October 14, Laura was diagnosed with colon cancer. Subsequent testing has revealed metastasis to some lymph nodes and potentially her liver. She traveled to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta this week for additional imaging and to develop a treatment plan, where it was confirmed that the cancer is stage four. She is currently waiting to schedule liver biopsies and pursuing a second opinion with Dana Farber in the next two weeks.

The Gustafsson family will have many unforeseen expenses within the next year, from specialists, flights, lodging, imaging, treatment, surgery, integrative therapies, and more. One of the largest expenses will be for a multi-week stay at a treatment facility in Mexico. Through much research and prayer, Laura plans to follow the Lord’s leading to pursue an integrated approach, combining conventional treatment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America with holistic care at Hope4Cancer. Close to home, she’s working with the Aim Clinic in Exeter, NH.

Financial gifts will go a long way in alleviating the burden of the foreseeable out-of-pocket costs between the three treatment centers so that Laura can put her full focus into healing. Laura is a helper, and it is humbling to be in a position to accept help when she is so often the one offering it. Our giving might be a way to show her and her family the tangible provision of God’s people.

We trust that the God who created Laura will sustain her. The Gustafsson family would love your prayers as they navigate this journey. Laura knows God is the ultimate healer! Prayers will be our most powerful offering as we walk alongside her.

That Laura would feel a peace that passes understanding (Philippians 4:6).
