Fire destroys family home leaving them with nothing.

Hi, my name is Marsha and together with some coworkers who have worked alongside Laura in a care company (Laura & family aware) we are wanting to raise funds for Laura to help them in any small way to overcome the devastating circumstance they are in.

5 days ago, Laura was awoken by her daughter (who was across the road at a neighbour’s playing with a friend in the back garden at the time the blaze began) telling her the house was on fire.

Amazingly her daughter saw it by absolute chance, alerted the neighbour and went into the house to raise the alarm to her mum as the fire alarms had not gone off (being investigated) and this led to Laura and the rest of her children making it out safely.

Unfortunately there was no stopping the fire and it tore through the majority of the house.

Everything they own has been destroyed. The insurance company for the house that started the fire (Nextdoor) will not support a claim for Laura so they really do have nothing.

The fire structural engineer has been out to assess Laura’s home and they have been dealt a blow as the house needs to be knocked down and rebuilt, it cannot be saved.

They are currently living in an Air BNB whilst they figure out somewhere they can stay more permanently but they have little to no belongings left.

Please help in any way you can if you can. It does not need to be monetary, they are looking for items to replace those lost to the fire such as:

Duvets

Household items

Bedding

Kitchen Items

Tables

Sofa

Bunk bed

Money donated will be used towards food, shelter, clothes, home wares and other items the children may need.
