Laura Krusell's Road to Recovery

On December 8th, our beautiful cousin, Laura, was trying on her wedding dress with her mother, Anne. While shopping Laura suddenly developed an excruciating headache. Laura became sick and went unconscious. She was rushed to the nearest hospital in Rhode Island. On arrival at the hospital they discovered Laura had an AVM aneurysm that had ruptured. She was rushed into emergency brain surgery. Within just the first few days in the hospital Laura has had three major brain surgeries and has had to overcome many obstacles. Laura is also currently pregnant with her first baby. The baby and Laura are doing miraculous! Laura and the baby are absolute miracles and fighters. She is currently in the hospital in Rhode Island, which is a few hours away from her home. Her family has been traveling back and fourth everyday from the hospital to work.
Laura was supposed to be getting ready for her bridal shower in January and her wedding on February 14th. Unfortunately, these events will be postponed so Laura can recover. Laura has a long road of recovery ahead of her. She will be in the hospital for the holidays and eventually be transferred to a rehabilitation center to begin intense rehab. She will need to learn how to perform active daily living skills again through PT, OT and ST. After an intense rehabilitation she will be discharge home where she will need to have a handicap accessible home.
For those who don’t know Laura, she is an amazing, beautiful, kind and loving person inside and out. She is always willing to go out of her way for others. Such as, volunteering for the Dana-Faber Cancer Institution in Boston, Massachusetts.
We kindly ask you for your support for our strong cousin in her difficult and long road to recovery. Any financial support will help with future out of pocket medical bills for Laura and her unborn child. It will be greatly appreciated. We thank you so much for the support during this long road of recovery for our cousin.
