Hi, my name is David. I’m trying to help my niece out with the expenses associated with the passing of her mom and my sister. My sister went to the hospital and was found to have an uti. About 2:30a.m. Sunday morning my mom received an call telling her to get to the hospital as soon as she could. My sisters heart had stopped 2 times before we could get there. Apparently during the process of treating the uti an massive blood clot broke loose and became stuck above her heart causing one side to barely work and the other not working. There wasn’t any doctor who wanted to do try to do anything because of how dangerous it would be. They told us that with the short amount of time with no oxygen and blood flow she was brain dead. Also found out her organs was shutting down so the decision was made to unhook her and with in 10mins she was gone. Now my niece and family is trying to figure out paying for everything as my sister didn’t have any kind of insurance.
